Who we are

After God’s Own Heart Productions is a dynamic Detroit-based organization dedicated to the mission: “Using the Fine Arts to Capture God’s Heart.” Through powerful storytelling, music, and performance, the ministry seeks to inspire, uplift, and draw people into a deeper relationship with God.

The organization made its debut in April 2011 with its original stage play, “Me and Jesus: A Journey to the Cross.” Since then, it has continued to impact audiences with a range of meaningful productions, including an urban adaptation of “A Christmas Carol,” “I Am Detroit, This Is My Future,” and the compelling drama “The Case of the Open Books.” In June 2016, the ministry expanded into film, presenting its first movie adaptation of “Me and Jesus,” featuring talented students from The Henry Ford Academy Middle and High School.

One of its most powerful productions, “Azusa,” is inspired by the historic Azusa Street Revival—where a small group of believers humbled themselves before God and cried out for revival. When God moved, He did so with undeniable power, bringing healing, restoration, and unity among His people.

“Azusa” is an unforgettable experience that will have you laughing, crying, and ultimately worshiping. More than just a play, it is an opportunity to encounter the presence of God in a real and transformative way.

After God’s Own Heart Productions is founded and directed by Pastor Joseph and First Lady Marlena Fielder, whose passion and dedication continue to impact lives through ministry and the arts.
